Consultation has concluded

The Highland Council has the responsibility of delivering various funding programmes to enable community-led local action.  This allows organisations to apply for funding to deliver projects that respond to the needs of their local area to bring about positive change.

But we can't fund everything, and we know demand for these funds is always more than the funding available.

By piloting this new community engagement platform, this is your chance to tell us what you consider the funding priorities to be for your area. Your views will be used to help inform decisions taken to award funding at local level.

Please select your area below which will lead you to the various ways to engage and have your say on local funding priorities.

Please note that this survey does not relate to Highland Council core service funding e.g. roads repair.

Survey Results

The 'Have Your Say Black Isle' survey concluded on the 9th September.  The initial findings report on the community response to local funding priorities is available to DOWNLOAD HERE . A further detailed report will be published here in November 2022.

You can still view and contribute to the Black Isle Project Ideas Board below

Project Ideas Board

If you have ideas for specific projects in your area that you would like to see happen, please post them to the ideas board. Others will be able to see your idea and show their support through comments or likes. This will help us to create a project 'wish list' for your area.

Does your community already have local plans?

We have included on this page links to existing plans that have been developed by the Highland Council and local community groups. We know this is not an exhaustive list so if you are aware of a community group or organisation with their own action plan or list of priorities we should be including, please let us know. You can get in touch with us at communityregenerationfund@highland.gov.uk

Taking an area based approach

Highland is home to diverse communities, each with their own unique aspirations and challenges. Taking an area based approach recognises this, and allows for locally appropriate solutions to be developed and supported. To help your thinking, the below Area Profile shows some key statistics for your area including: population changes, employment, access to services, tourism contribution and environmental categories. These are based on available national statistics so won't give a full picture of your area which is why it's important that we hear your views.
